Realme recently presented the lot two of his last numbers series in India, including Realme 13 and Realme 13+. The new phones offer improved processors, design changes and a couple of other improvements on their predecessors. Both are average range phones that have a price under RS. 30,000. I have had Realme 13+ with me for almost 10 days, and I have been asking mainly why Realme launched this phone when his predecessor, Realme 12+, had only about five months. It turns out that there are a couple of reasons why. But does it make sense to update from Realme 12+? Keep reading to find out.
In India, Realme 13+ begins in RS. 22,999 for the 8 GB + 128 GB variant, while 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB options are listed in RS. 24,999 and RS. 26,999, respectively. Our review unit came with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage.
Realme 13+ Design: New rear panel
- Dimensions – 161.7 x 74.7 x 7.6 mm
- Weight – 185g
- Colors: dark purple, speed and gold of victory
Realme 13+ offers a design similar to the oldest model of 12+ if you look at the phone from the front, but there are a couple of changes in the back. Now get a new rear panel pattern and a slightly redesigned camera module. According to Realme, the inspiration for the employer comes from the keywords ‘Victory’ and ‘Speed’. There is a curve under the camera module that offers a design distinction. The top of the phone has a simple matte finish, while the background has a marble design. We have the option of dark purple color, which looks black than the purple.
The marble pattern in the posterior panel is more prominent under some lighting
The camera module is now more oval than a circle, and the surrounding ring has some camera specifications recorded on it. The new design is better than its predecessor, but I miss the leather finish. Fortunately, the entire rear panel offers a matt finish and does not attract digital footprints. The rear panel also has slightly curved edges, which makes the phone comfortable.
Realme uses aluminum with casting and a metal skeleton of one piece on the phone for durability. The phone has flat sides and feels quite resistant and well balanced. You will find the power and volume buttons to the right, while the top houses a 3.5 mm headphones connector, a speaker rack and a microphone. The lower part obtains another microphone, speaker grid, USB port type C and SIM tray slot.
You get a 3.5 mm headphone connector at the top
The phone now has an IP65 rating, higher than the IP54 classification at Realme 12+. The SIM card tray now has a red rubber joint.
Realme 13+ Display: vivid and soft
- Screen size-67 inches full-hd+ amoled
- Update speed – 60/120Hz
- Protection – Panda glass
The Realme 13+ obtains a flat screen with thin edges at the top and the sides with a slightly thicker chin. It is protected by Panda Glass and comes with a slim pre -installed film. It is better to remove that and get an adequate screen protector. The screen uses an E4 Samsung panel that offers an update speed up to 120 Hz and a Full-HD+resolution. The panel has a maximum brightness rating of 2,000 nits and is legible outdoors. Realme states that the panel meets 100 percent range of P3 colors, and in use, I discovered that the screen offers vibrant and deep black colors.
The screen admits an update speed up to 120 Hz and offers several color modes
Obtain four color modes in the configuration application: vivid, natural, cinematographic and brilliant. I would say that you stay vivid or bright if you like pop colors. There is also a bright HDR video mode available since the screen also supports HDR10+ and also offers HDR image support. For those who like to use their phone with wet fingers, the screen also has the function of intelligent touch of rainwater.
The phone also offers a facial unlocking function
The screen presents a drilling cut at the top and there is a digital footprint scanner on the screen at the bottom. I am not a great admirer of its location, but it works well.
Realme 13+ Software: Stop the Bloatware
- UI – Realme UI 5.0
- OS – Android 14
- Last security patch – July
I have used enough real -budget phones and average range to know that there will be a lot of Bloatware. It is the same story with Realme 13+. The telephone runs UI 5.0 based on Android 14 IU 5.0 and comes pre -installed with several games, a lock locking screen, hot applications, hot games, etc. Fortunately, most can uninstall, and things like hot applications can be disabled. Even so, it would have been more pleasant not to have them on the phone.
Realme has promised two years of operating system updates with three years of security patches, which is similar to what offers part of the competition. With Realme UI 5.0, it also obtains some functions with AI, such as AI Clear Voice, which is stated that it improves the quality of calls and smart loop, which allows you to share the content quickly selected with other applications. There are also aerial gestures, an smart sidebar, a divided view and several other features that you will find in Settings > Accessibility and convenience.
Realme 13+ Performance: Games work soft
- Chipset – Energy Mediatek Dimensity 7300
- RAM – Up to 12 GB
- Storage – Up to 256 GB
Upon reaching performance, MediaTak Dimensity 7300 Energy Soc on the phone is good for daily use and games. It is one of the key points of sale of the phone, and I understand why. Although I faced some hiccup while sailing through the user interface and launched applications, the phone never delayed when playing. This chipset is excellent for playing with a budget. It also has up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
The phone does not heat up much when playing games
As always, I executed our usual reference points on the phone to see how it compares with other phones in the same price segment.
Benchmark | Realme 13+ | Motorola Edge 50 Fusion | Nothing telephone 2nd |
---|---|---|---|
Antutu V10 | 6,85,135 | 6,12,950 | 6,88,079 |

Geekbench Multi | 2,945 | 2,949 | 2,448 |
GFXB T-REX | 61 | 104 | 60 |
GFXB Manhattan 3.1 | 50 | 49 | 57 |
GFXB Car Chase | 29 | 25 | 34 |
3DM SLINGSHOT Extreme OpenGL | 5,174 | 4,758 | 5,902 |
3DM Slingshot | 6,672 | 6,414 | 6,872 |
Wild life of 3dm | 3,161 | 3,035 | 4,165 |
3DM Wild Life Unlimited | 3,155 | 3,065 | 4,272 |
The phone worked quite well at the reference points, but it did even better in real life. One of the reasons why this phone stands out in the games is due to the 6050 mm² stainless steel steam cooling chamber that was included here. Even during the long BGMI sessions, the phone is heated a bit. I executed BGMI in the available Max graphics, and executed without problems and delivered between 80 and 90 fps. There is also a GT mode that guarantees maximum frames in all games, and it worked as it is announced even in COD.
In addition to the games, the phone worked quite well during phone calls and 5G download speed tests. I also found the dual speaker configuration on the noisy and clear phone, but I would like it to have a little more bass.
Real me more than 13 cameras: quite well
- Main rear-50 megapixels Sony Lyt-600, F/1.8, OIS
- Secondary Chamber – 2 Megapixels
- Selfie Chamber – 16 Megapixels
Realme said that his series of non -professional numbers will focus on performance rather than cameras, but I discovered that the camera configuration in Realme 13+ is quite good during the day. There is a dual camera settings on the back, which unfortunately does not have an ultrawide. The application of the camera is easy to use and gives direct controls to all the different ways. There is also a professional way.
It would have been more pleasant to have an ultraral camera instead of the depth sensor
The primary 50 megapixel sensor Sony Lyt-600 takes good photos in daylight conditions. They have great details, slightly potential colors and a decent dynamic range. The white balance is also quite good in the conditions of daylight, and the images do not have strange tones. The Sony sensor also works well in low light conditions, providing enough light. The camera changes to the Night mode, taking a few seconds, but the results are usable. Of course, there is some noise, but it is not so bad, honestly. Check out some samples below.
From top to bottom: 3 x photos of daylight, 3 x low light photos, 1 x portrait photo [Tap to Expand]
Unfortunately, there is no other sensor usable on the phone. Secondary camera is a depth sensor that helps with portraits photos, but the results are not so good. Passing to the front, the Selfie camera also lacks color and skin details, but good photos are required in daylight conditions. However, it suffers even more in low light conditions. Upon reaching the video, Realme 13+ can record videos at a maximum resolution of 4K to 30 fps. You will have to change to 1080p to 60 fps for an ultra stage video. The quality of the video is decent, and you can get well stabilized in daylight with forceful colors.
Realme 13+ Battery: Long duration
- Capacity – 5,000 mAh
- Fast charge – 80W
- Loader – Included
Realme 13+ has a 5,000 mAh battery that can easily last a day or more with normal use. While 5,000 mAh is nothing special in this price range, fast charging support of 80W is included.
A 80W charger is included in the box
In our HD video loop, the smartphone lasted approximately 29 hours, which is quite impressive. In daily use, I obtained around 6-7 hours of screen in time with the screen established at an update speed of 120 Hz. Regarding the loading speeds, the phone passed from dead to 100 percent in approximately 55 minutes . You can get a full day with approximately 30 minutes of charge.
Realme 13+ verdict
If you are willing to buy an economic phone that is ideal for games and offers a good battery life, Realme 13+ is an excellent option. The phone also has a decent primary rear camera, a soft screen and a pleasant minimum design, and you get a fast charge of 80W more than the 80W. However, if you are updating a 12+ Realme, I think you should omit this.
There are enough alternatives in the same price range. For example, Nothing Phone 2A (review) is also a good option if you want a unique design, similar performance, decent cameras and a much better software experience. The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion (review) also It offers better cameras, software and design. You can also see something like OnePlus Nord CE 4 (review), which offers improvements in all areas.
