Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and his American counterpart Pete Hegseth on Thursday (February 6, 2025) agreed to work on an ambitious agenda, even in the areas of operation, intelligence, logistics and industrial cooperation, to further boost the association Strategic United India.
Mr. Singh said Mr. Hegseth reviewed several aspects of bilateral defense ties in a telephone conversation that occurred less than a week before the planned trip of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Washington.
In an X position, the defense minister said that he and Mr. Hegseth reviewed the Indian-United States Defense Cooperation ongoing and explored ways of further deepening the relationship.
Mr. Singh described the telephone conversation as “excellent.”
“We review the current defense cooperation and explore forms and means to expand and deepen the bilateral defense relationship of the United India,” he said.
“We also agreed to draw an ambitious agenda that includes operational, intelligence, logistics and defense cooperation. I hope to work in close collaboration with Hegseth Secret, ”added Singh.
