New Delhi:

The center is “seriously considering” promulgating a new law to establish a framework that promotes “safe, orderly and regular migration for employment abroad.” This movement occurs in the middle of a row over the United States by deporting more than one hundred Indian migrants who landed in Amritssar yesterday in a US military plane C-17, chained and chained.

The bill titled Tentatively ‘Mobility (facilitation and well -being) abroad, 2024’ arose from a report presented in Lok Sabha by the Permanent Parliamentary Committee of External Affairs, headed by the deputy of the Congress Shashi Tharoor, on Monday.

Migrants, 104 in total and from several states, were rounded in an illegal immigration repression in the United States. Among them, 33 were from Haryana and Gujarat, 30 from Punjab, three from Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, and two from Chandigarh. Nineteen women and 13 children, including a four -year -old boy and two girls of five and seven years, were also on the flight.

“The government carefully monitors the number of students in all foreign countries and carefully monitors their well -being in tension situations. We alert students, as we have done in Ukraine. Whenever there is a situation in which we need to execute flights, we are prepared .

Tharoor acknowledged that the deportations of illegal immigrants are routine, but criticized US authorities for the way they handled Indian citizens.

“It is not the first time that people have been deported. Last year, more than 1,100 Indians were sent back under the Biden administration. But this case has caught attention because it was done more aggressively,” said Tharoor.

Deportations occur in the midst of immigration policies in the United States, with a growing number of Indian citizens detained by illegal entry. While legal migration routes remain open, many continue to take high risk routes through Mexico and Central America in search of better opportunities.
