Shortly after their arrival, the 33 immigrants, including some children and women, were transported to their native places in Gujarat in police vehicles, police assistant commissioner, division ‘G’, said RD Oza.

“A plane that transported 33 immigrants from Gujarati, including children and women, landed at the airport from Amritsar in the morning. They were among those deported from the United States. We displayed police vehicles at the airport to transport them to their respective places.” Mr. Oza told reporters at the airport.

While the mediators tried to speak with deported immigrants, they refused to say anything and went to their native places in police vehicles.

Most of them are from the districts of Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Patan, Vadodara and Kheda, the sources said.

An American military plane that transported 104 illegal Indian immigrants, including 33 of Gujarat, landed in Amritsar in Punjab on Wednesday (February 5, 2025).

The relatives of these illegal immigrants from Gujarat have affirmed that they do not know how their relatives reached foreign soil.

The former Deputy Minister of State, Nitin Patel, had expressed his sympathy for Deported Gujais, underlining the fact that they had gone to the foreign country looking for a job or career, and should not be portrayed as criminals.

Police General Inspector, Cid-Crime, Parikshita Rathod, said the police will not question those deported at this stage.
