A suspect of murder of New Mexico was violently assaulted in the court on Friday by the uncle and the stepfather of the alleged victim, as captured in the video of the court. Alexander Ortiz, 21, was arrested by the Albuquerque Police last February in relation to the fatal shooting of his ex -girlfriend, Alianna Farfan, according to a policeman press release.
Ortiz was accused of first degree murder, which he declared innocent in March, according to judicial records, NBC News rEportado.
On Friday morning, I was in a courtroom at the Bernalillo County Court in Albuquerque for a guilt hearing when he was attacked.
Video images show a man who jumps through the barrier of the room separating the public from the suspects and loading to Ortiz, who tries to flee. Moments later, another man continues.
There is a chaotic fight, with several individuals fighting on the floor, including Carlos Lucero, Pete Ysasi, Ortiz, a correction officer, Ortiz’s father and an unidentified sixth man.
Lucero and Ysasi are seen hitting a man with jeans and a long -sleeved dark shirt, while the correction officer tries to protect Ortiz.
The fight ends when the officer displays his taser.

The court documents presented last week in the Metropolitan Court identify the attackers as Lucero and Ysasi. The agents responded to the Court Chamber around 9:30 am after receiving a report from a fight in Progreso.
According to the judicial records, Lucero and Ysasi jumped through the court door, ran to Ortiz and began hitting him. They are also accused of hurting the corrections officer who tries to protect Ortiz.
During his arrest, according to the reports, Lucero told a deputy that the victim, Farfan, was his niece.
“He killed my niece as a coward,” Lucero said allegedly. “It was worth every moment.”
Ysasi was identified as Farfan’s stepfather.
Judicial records indicate that Ortiz, Lucero and Ysasi suffered visible lacerations during the incident. Lucero and Ysasi were arrested and accused of aggression against a peace officer and assault on a prison.
Online records show that Lucero was launched from the Metropolitan Detention Center on Saturday, while Ysasi was launched on Sunday. It is not clear if they have legal representation.
Farfan was found dead in his department on January 11, 2024, according to the Police.
“Homicide detectives learned from friends and family that Farfan and Ortiz had an abusive relationship and that Ortiz was upset with Farfan on the day of the shooting,” police said in a press release last year. “Farfan allowed several friends to stay in his department because he was afraid to be alone, according to a relative.”
Farfan’s friends told the detectives who heard a single shot while she and Ortiz were in her room that night. When they forced the door, they discovered Farfan with a gunshot wound in the face, while Ortiz had escaped through a window.
Ortiz was arrested on February 21, 2024, after a brief confrontation with the Police and since then has remained in the Metropolitan Detention Center.
An Ortiz lawyer did not immediately respond to a request for comments.
