Prime Minister Narendra Modi today took a boat ride to Sangam in Prayagraj to attend Maha Kumbh Mela, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Prime Minister Yogi Adityanath. The prime minister was seen greeting thousands of devotees who attended the festival.
Maha Kumbh, which began on January 13, is the world’s largest spiritual meeting. It will continue until February 26, 2025. Millions of devotees from around the world have attended the festival, participating in rituals, prayers and religious speeches.

The visit of the prime minister occurs weeks after inaugurating 167 development projects worth 5.5 billion rupees in Prayagraj on December 13. The Maha Kumbh is receiving similar attention, with large -scale investments on roads, sanitation, security and digital services.
The King of Bután, Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuk, also visited Prayagraj for Maha Kumbh 2025. Accompanied by Primer Prime Minister Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, the butan monarch participated in several spiritual activities, visited the Lete Hanuman Mandir, and explored the center of Mahakumbh digital experience.
