This Valentine’s week, retro cinema lovers are in a delight, since the Bollywood ‘Silsila’, ‘Awara,’ Aradhana ‘and’ Chandni ‘cult classics are prepared to throw again in cinemas with a better Image quality.
Bollywood’s worship classics are ready to throw back on large screens with their 4K version restored by the National Film Archive of India under the National Mission of the Heritage of the Film.
‘Silisila’ by Amitabh Bachchan will launch the first day of the Valentine’s Week, which is February 7. It was directed by Yash Chopra and starring Jaya Bachchan, Rekha and Shashi Kapoor in the main roles.
The film is recognized for its perennial leaf songs that include ‘Dekha Ek Khwab’, ‘Yeh Kahan Aa Gaye Hum’ and others. It was released in 1981.
Music was composed of Shiv-Hari.
After his relaunch, the successful film of the successful actor Sridevi ‘Chandni’ will arrive at theaters on Valentine’s Day.
It was directed by Yash Chopra and starring Rishi Kapoor and Vinod Khanna in main roles along with Sridevi. It was the third most collection film in 1989.
Sridevi’s performance was widely appreciated by critics and the public.
The drama movie of Raj Kapoor ‘Awara’ drama is the following in the line with its launch scheduled on February 21 in the PVR and Inox cinemas.
Considered one of the best Hindi films, he starred in Raj Kapoor, Nargis and Prithviraj Kapoor in the main papers. It was released in 1951. The film will be relaunched on February 14.
It will be followed by the ‘Aradhana’ of Rajash Khanna, which will be relaunched in theaters on February 28.
The film has been restored in impressive 4K by NFDC-Archivo of national films of India under the National Mission of Cinema’s Heritage.
Sharing the update, PVR cinemas through their Instagram handle they wrote,
“This month of romance, let Timeless Love eliminate your feet! We are bringing iconic stories to the big screen, including the Aradhana cult classic, now restored in impressive 4K by NFDC – National Film Archive of India under the National Mission of cinema heritage. “
Recently, Padmavat was relaunched in theaters on January 24, 2025. Starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the main roles.
It is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
