A shooting at the United Nations complex in Kabul killed one person and wounded another, the UN mission in Afghanistan said Monday.
A UN post was shot on Sunday by a Taliban fighter who was placed outside the perimeter wall, according to the UN
The unproceded security guards did not return fire. An international guard suffered minor injuries and received hospital attention, said the UN.
The Taliban fighter was found later dead in a place outside the complex. The UN statement did not clarify how the fighter died.
The UN and the Taliban are carrying out separate research on the incident. No one from the Taliban was immediately available to comment.
