Moto G35 5G Review

0:00

We have seen the launch of several smartphones in India in 2024, from entry level phones to flagparas and folding phones. The budget segment sees a lot of competition from telephone companies in the country, and each new model offers iterative improvements on its predecessors. Motorola recently launched the G35 5G motorcycle as its most affordable 5G smartphone. This phone will compete with smartphones such as Redmi A4 5G, Tecno Spark 30c 5g and Lava Blaze 2 5g.

You can collect the G35 5G motorcycle for RS. 9,999 in India, and is sold in a single configuration of 4 GB + 128 GB of RAM and storage. Does it offer enough quality -price like other smartphones with a price of RS? 10,000? Keep reading to know more about this phone in my Moto G35 5G review.

Moto G35 5G Design: Family aspect

  • Dimensions – 166.29×75.98×7.79 mm
  • Weight – 185g
  • Colors – Guava Red, Green Leaf (in this review), Midnight Black

The new G35 5G motorcycle is available in matte and vegan leather finishes, and looks very similar to its most expensive brother in the G series: the G45 5G motorcycle (review). In fact, if he placed these phones next to each other with his rear panel up, he may not be able to distinguish them. Speaking subjectively, it is one of the most polished smartphones in this price segment.

The G35 5G motorcycle is very similar to the most expensive model Moto G45 5g

The sides of the smartphone are made of plastic and have a soft sensation. The left edge presents the SIM tray, while the right side has the volume rocker and the ignition button; The latter also works as a digital footprint scanner. There is a USB type C port at the bottom, along with a 3.5 mm headphones port and a speaker rack.

The company sent us the G35 5G motorcycle in a green color with a vegan leather finish that facilitates grip. It also comes with a transparent TPU box in the box, as well as an 18W charger and a USB Type-A cable to the USB type C. cable

G35 5G motorcycle software: Clean IU, Bloatware ships

  • Software – My UX
  • Version – Android 14
  • Last security patch – December 5, 2024

Motorola’s last G Motorola is executed on Android 14, with my UX of the company at the top. This is the same interface that is available in more expensive models such as the G45 5G 5G motorcycle, and comes with software characteristics that are exclusive to the company’s phones, such as Motorola Secure (secure folder, network protection) and family space ( family controls).

Moto G35 5G is sent with Android 14, along with My Ux Skin of the company (touch to expand)

After configuring the smartphone, the Moto App Manager application asked me to “try” (install) three third -party applications by the Moto App Manager application that is also pre -installed on the company’s smartphones. The installer informs users to install three new applications monthly when an system update is installed. These applications can be uninstalled like any other application that a user chooses to download on their smartphone.

This phone is scheduled to receive only an Android OS update, which means that Android 15 should obtain at some time next year. It would have been good to see the company deliver at least two Android OS updates for this smartphone, considering the fact that it is sent with Android 14, which was launched a year ago. The G35 motorcycle is scheduled to receive safety updates Until August 2027according to the company’s support website.

Moto G35 5g Performance: Decent for the price

  • Processor – Unisoc T760
  • Memory – 4GB LPDDR4X
  • Storage – 128 GB UFS 2.2

The G35 5G motorcycle is equipped with a Unisoc T760 6 Nm chipset launched in July. It is an eight-core processor that comprises six Cortex-A76 ARM (2.2GHZ) and four cortex nuclei A55 (2GHZ), along with a Mali G57 MC4 GPU. This puts it along with the socio mediatek dimensity 6300, which has slightly faster A76 nuclei (2.4Ghz) but a Mali G57 MC2 GPU slightly older.

As you can probably see, this is not an exceptionally fast processor. Even so, it is quite good to handle daily tasks such as navigating the web, sending text messages to someone on WhatsApp and using social media applications such as Facebook or Instagram. I noticed a little delay in a bit more demanding applications such as Snapchat and Google Maps.

Moto G35 5g Reference Results (Touch to expand)

You can play casual games on this phone without any problem: I tried a couple of third -party games that were downloaded after configuring the phone, and can also handle some titles such as Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) if you use the lowest graphics configuration. I also executed asphalt legends in the default configuration without any problem.

I also executed multiple reference tests on the G35 5G motorcycle to better understand how it is taken to smartphones equipped with processors that offer comparable performance, such as Redmi A4 5G, Samsung Galaxy A16 5G and Infinix Note 40x. The phone performance seemed to be on par with some of these models that are sold at higher prices.

You can see the table below to see how the G35 5G motorcycle in the reference tests, compared to similar models of other smartphone manufacturers.

Benchmark Moto G35 5g Redmi A4 5g Samsung Galaxy A16 5g Infinix 40x note

Motorola has equipped this smartphone with a 6,72-inch Full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) LCD screen together with the Gorilla Glass 3 It offers a much softer experience, you may want to leave it in predetermined mode for a better battery life.

Visibility is not ideal when you are outdoors in the bright sunlight, but it is quite useful during other times of the day. After rummaging in the configuration, I found a lever in configuration> screen> additional brightness that improved the brightness level of the screen, but also resulted in a faster battery drain.

Moto G35 5G cameras: do the job

  • Primary Chamber: 50 Megapixels (F/ 1.8), Pdaf, up to 4K/ 30 FPS of Video
  • Ultrawide-8 megapixels (f/2.2), 120 degree vision field
  • Selfie Chamber – 16 Megapixels

The G35 5G motorcycle is a budget smartphone with a dual rear camera settings. It is good to see that the company has not worried about adding a macro sensor or low resolution depth, which are generally disappointing when included in the phones in this price segment.

Moto G35 5G Chamber samples. From top to bottom: primary, ultrawide, portrait (touch images to expand)

When clicking on the photos with the 50 megapixel primary camera during the day, the phone offers bright images with a decent amount of details, for a budget smartphone. It also reproduces the skin tones with precision, by capturing images of portraits. The subjects who are closer to the camera will definitely have more details, and the application of the camera is fast and agile when taking photos.

The 8 -megapixel ultrawide camera produces images that are not as detailed as the main camera, and will notice a clear lack of detail when approaching these images. For example, I clicks on an image of a sign on the other side of the street using the primary and ultra camera, and only the image captured with the previous readable text included.

In scenarios with little light and at night, there is only one camera that is worth using on the G35 5G motorcycle, and the 50 megapixel sensor is better used in combination with the night vision function available within the camera application . A couple of seconds are needed to capture an image, but the difference in detail is quite evident in the samples of our camera.

Motorola has equipped the phone with a 16 megapixel selfie camera, which captures decent images during the day. In darker scenarios, it still manages to let enough light for a recognizable image, but it also looks a lot of softened and noise.

There is no image stabilization on the G35 5G motorcycle, and the smartphone allows you to record video to up to 4K/ 30 fps using the primary camera and up to 1080p/ 30 fps using the Ultrawide camera. Once again, the first is the one you should use while registering with this phone.

Moto G35 5g drums: slow to load, slower to download

  • Battery capacity – 5,000 mAh
  • Cable load – 18W (USB Type C)

The Unisoc T760 chip on the G35 5G motorcycle seems to be quite efficient, since the phone is capable of delivering more than a day and a half of the battery duration, before it needed another load. In our HD video battery loop, the phone lasted approximately 18 hours and 50 minutes, but keep in mind that these are synthetic tests.

The G35 5G motorcycle offers more than a day of use with a single load

In daily use, battery drainage on the G35 motorcycle is not high during active use, as well as in waiting mode. I used the phone to make calls using WhatsApp, navigate the web and verify the applications of social networks, and play some casual games: he delivered approximately 5.5 hours of screen in time, along with approximately 21 hours of life on hold.

Loading the G35 5g motorcycle from 0 to 100 percent can take time, especially if your battery is low when you connect the headset. During the time I tried the headset, it took about two hours a complete load, using the 18W adapter included in the box.

Moto G35 5G Review: Verdict

The G35 5G motorcycle offers good performance for the price, surpassing the most expensive smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G (review) and the Infinix Note 40x in some reference tests. It also offers 5g connectivity under RS. 10,000, reliable battery life and decent performance of the camera.

The G35 motorcycle offers a good value for its current price of RS. 9,999

It is worth noting that the company has offered only an update of the Android operating system for the Moto G35, while the Galaxy A16 5G mentioned above costs more and is scheduled to receive up to six updates.

Other smartphones at similar prices that can be considered instead of the G35 5G motorcycle include the Redmi A4 5G (first impressions), Tecno Spark 30c 5g and the Lava Blaze 2 5G slightly older.
