New Delhi:

The AAM AADMI (AAP) Rajya Sabha party, Swati Maliwal, was arrested by the police on Thursday afternoon after she threw three mini garbage trucks outside the residence of former Delhi Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal, in protest.

Early in the day, Maliwal visited Vikaspuri, where he said that the streets were drowned with waste, raising serious health and hygiene problems for residents.

Maliwal, along with a group of followers, picked up the garbage in three mini trucks and went to Kejriwal’s residence at 5, Ferazeshah Road.

Accompanied by hundreds of women with banners saying: “Muskuraiye, AAP Delhi Mein Hain,” Maliwal threw the garbage out of Kejriwal’s house, using a shovel to throw waste to the ground. Shortly after, she was confronted by the female police personnel and withdrawal from the site. Subsequently, it was arrested and taken to the Police Station on Parliament Street.

According to Maliwal, it was released after a few hours and a FIR was recorded under section 188 of the Indian Criminal Code for violating prohibitive orders.

After its launch, Maliwal told journalists: “During the last ten years, Arvind Kejriwal has ensured that Delhi becomes a giant garbage dump. The paths break, the drains overflow and the waste accumulates in All parts.

Previously, Maliwal shared a video in X, showing her and others collecting vikaspuri garbage. “There have been lots of garbage on the roads in Vikaspuri for years. People are very angry. They will collect all this garbage and download it in the house of Kejriwal,” he wrote in the post.

He added: “The condition of all Delhi has deteriorated. The dirt and stench that the delhiites face will be faced by Kejriwal Ji today. The public comes, Kejriwal Ji, do not be afraid.” Maliwal has had a tense relationship with AAP and Kejriwal since last year, when she alleged that her personal secretary she was missed in her residence. The matter is currently being heard in court.
