The defendant in the case of stabbing Saif Ali Khan, Shariful Islam, was taken to the Bandra Mumbra Court of Mumbai on Wednesday morning. As was his last day in preventive detention, the police sought the extension of their custody of the Court. An interesting video appeared online where the police truck in which the accused was taken to the Court broke. In the viral video, the police present in the place with civil clothing can be seen trying to start the vehicle pushing it. However, the truck did not start and the defendant was taken to the Court in another police car.

Meanwhile, after the hearing, the Mumbai court sent the accused to 14 -day judicial custody. Earlier this week, the Mumbai Police held a press conference in which the additional CP Paramjit Singh Dahiya and the DCP Dixit Gedam said that the investigation of the accused Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, arrested by DCP Zone 9 has been made of the correct way and that the investigation is in the right direction.
