The seven -time world champion Lewis Hamilton crashed during the second day of the private tests of Formula one of his new Ferrari team in Barcelona, but was unharmed. The 40 -year -old British, in his second test with Ferrari after 12 successful years with Mercedes, lost control of the 2023 car and hit the barriers in the Catalunya circuit. A source close to the team told AFP Hamilton was “absolutely well” and was still exploring the limits of the car. Hamilton is sharing the car with the teammate Charles Leclerc while preparing for the 2025 season that begins in March with the Australian Grand Prix.
His two -year agreement with Ferrari began last week when he promoted the laps on the Fioran Testing track near the Maranello de Ferrari base.
Ferrari will present his new car on February 19 in Fioran, one day after the launch event of the F1 season in London to commemorate the 75th anniversary of sport.
