It is known that the EDGE Telephone series of Motorola offers flagship features at an average range price. The new Motorola Edge 50 Pro adheres to that formula, but this time, the phone is full of some features that will not find in other smartphones. I have unpacked many phones in recent months, but the unboxing The Edge 50 Pro left me really impressed. It has the appearance of a premium flagship, but not the price. I have been using the Motorola Edge 50 Pro for a couple of days and it has been especially good. The design is striking and the phone looks good from all angles. It comes with a curved screen with thin and uniform bevels on the front. The phone uses an aluminum frame and has a leather finish panel. He obtains a curved screen with 6.7 -inch poleos in the front, which Motorola states that it is the first Pantone screen in the world. The panel offers a 1.5K resolution, 144Hz update speed, HDR10+, 2,000 maximum brightness nits, DCI-P3 color range and 10-bit colors. In the few days I have had with the phone, the screen has been really excellent, especially to see content. The phone also obtains a digital footprint scanner in the sample and a drilling cut for the Selfie Chamber.

Our review unit reached the Luxe Lavender color option, and definitely stands out from the rest. The leather finish feels quite premium and is soft to touch. The phone is also available in a black beauty color option that uses the same vegan silicone leather finish. And finally, there is a lunar light pearl color that uses a special acetate finish and it is claimed that it is handmade in Italy.
The phone feels great to hold
Passing towards the back of the EDGE 50 PRO, you will get a triple camera configuration with a primary 50 megapixel sensor with an opening F/1.4 that is stated that it is the widest in the segment. It also obtains optical image stabilization. There is a 10 megapixel teleobjective unit with 3X optical zoom support and an ultrawide camera of 13 megapixels that also admits macro photography. In the front, you get a 50 megapixel selfie camera with automatic approach. The main rear camera takes good photos, and also the teleobjective camera. Once again, it is said that all the chamber configuration is validated for the colors of the real world and the authentic skin tones, but I discovered that the photos were slightly supersaturated. The Motorola Edge 50 Pro offers 5G dual connectivity, a USB USB port with USB 3.1 speeds and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. There are also Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, along with the support for all usable GPS satellites. You also get a classification of dust and water resistance IP68. The phone has the volume and the feed buttons on the right edge and the SIM tray at the bottom.

Internally, the new Motorola phone is equipped with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 socate that is matched with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. I did not face any delay and everything was soft in the few days I used the phone. However, we will run some reference points and games on the phone to see how it works under heavy use. One thing I noticed during the initial days with the phone was that it is quite heated when loading using the fast 125W charger. But, again, it is summer, and the heat is only increasing.
Motorola is carrying the new UI hello UI to Edge 50 Pro. The phone runs Android 14 outside the box with almost without bloatware. He gets an Android experience almost in stock with Motorola promising 3 years of OS and 4 years of security updates.
