Police have formed eight teams to track the local official of Shiv Sena, Ashok Dhodi, who has lost 10 days ago, and arrested four people in this regard, said a senior official on Wednesday, January 29, 2025.

Mr. Dhodi, who is the coordinator of the Assembly of the Dahanu Assembly, led by Eknath, led by Eknath, disappeared on January 20. Police have launched an operation to track it, but its whereabouts have not yet been known.

Going to a press conference, the Superintendent of District Police Balasaheb Patil said: “We have arrested our suspects in relation to the case. A case has been registered against three of them.” He expressed confidence that the police can decipher the case tonight.

“We have formed eight teams, including those of the local crime branch, to work in the case. The police depend on the intelligence inputs, the technical data and the information collected from the suspected detainees. However, complications arose after A suspect managed to escape from the Custody Police, adding another layer of difficulty investigation, “he said.

The initial investigation suggests that Mr. Dhodi’s disappearance could be linked to a dispute related to property within his family, he added.

Mr. Dhodi was last seen traveling from Gholwad to Dahanu, at a distance of around 15 km, on January 20. He arrived in Dahanu at 4 pm and saw him in Gholwad at 6 pm, said the police officer.

The research team is also using mobile monitoring and other technical surveillance methods to discover potential clients, police said.

After Mr. Dhodi suspected the participation of certain people, a FIR was recorded at the Gholwad Police Station.

The case against him was recorded under the sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 140 (3) (1) (kidnapping or kidnapping to kill or rescue), 142 (unfair confinement), 351 (2) (criminal intimidation), 3 (5) (common intention), they said.
