The teams of officials of the National Research Agency (NIA) conducted simultaneous searches in the Thirumullaiva village in the Mayiladuthurai district on Tuesday (January 28, 2025).
Divided into multiple teams, NIA officials made checks in 15 houses in the town at 6 in the morning.
Police Department sources said searches were carried out following the arrest of a person called to the Pasith in Chennai, who has been accused of “brainwashing” through social networks platforms to join ISIS, an organization Forbidden terrorist.
The Mayiladuthurai District Police escorted the NIA teams during their operation, police sources added.
