Shawn Michaels stole the attention center during the signing of the contract between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens at the main event on Saturday night. Not long ago, Rhodes defeated Owens in a brutal match, but after the game, Kevin executed a Piledriver package in Cody, which led to his hospitalization and his battle became a rivalry. During the signing of the contract, Kevin Owens was seen showing a combative attitude and Michael as a special guest referee for the event gave Kevin a ‘sweet chin music’ to teach him a lesson for his behavior. Despite Kevin’s actions, the event was without problems and the contract was signed.

Nick Aldas was not present for the signing of the contract and, in turn, Shawn Michael intervened as an officer for the event. Heartbreak’s boy received a warm welcome from fans. While the fans cheered Rodees and booed Owens during their entrance, the commentators showed their discontent for Owens considering their provocative comment against them.
Michael asked the two competitors to sign for his next game. While Cody instantly signed, Owens made mocking comments about Rhodes in reference to Rhodes’s accusation that he would take the easy way out, referring to Owens’s party in Wwe Bash in Berlin. Cody, ignoring Owens’ comments, simply demanded that Owens signed the contract he made, but Owens warned him that pending Smackdown in Royal Rumble.
After the firm, Michael ordered the two competitors to deliver their titles temporarily. Then, Owens tried a poaching attack against Rhodes, but Michael intervened, causing Owens to retire. Owens retaliates trying a Piledriver package in Shawn, but Cody interrupted and delivered a Superkick. In response to Owens’ disruptive behavior, Michael, with anger, delivered a ‘sweet chin music’.
