Nine Indian nationals were killed in a traffic accident near Jizan in western Saudi Arabia, the Indian mission in Jeddah said Wednesday.
The mission said it is providing full support and is in contact with the authorities and families.
“We deeply regret the tragic loss of 9 Indian nationals in a traffic accident, near Jizan, in the western region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” said the Indian consulate in X.
“Our most sincere condolences to affected families. The General Consulate of India in Jeddah is providing full support and is in contact with the authorities and families. We also want a rapid recovery to the injured. A dedicated aid line has been established for new consultations, “he said.

The Minister of External Affairs, S Jaishankar said he was “afflicted” when learning about accident and loss of lives.
“He spoke with our general consul in Jeddah, who is in contact with interested families. He is extending the maximum support in this tragic situation, “he said in an X publication.
